Two luxury single storey barn conversions, close to the medieval walled city of York, in the viking area of Yorkshire called the East Riding.

Situated in a peaceful rural setting, with the possibilty of fantastic sunsets and starry nights, this makes for a special escape, a perfect place for romantic breaks or to explore from.

Nearby you can sit by the river Derwent and sup real ale at the 'Ferryboat Inn', and watch the wildlife at 'Wheldrake Ings' (Engilsh Nature SSI).

Enjoy great food at the renowned 'St, Vincents Inn' or just sit in your own private garden listening to skylarks or watching lapwings and barn owls.

This a country retreat off the beaten track but with excellent road links, close to all the attractions in York and the near by: Yorkshire Wolds, Yorkshire Moors and within easy reach of the Yorkshire Coast with its many attracttions. The cottages and farmhouse B & B are ideally situated for the start of the 2014 'Tour de France' which will vist a number of nearby cities and towns.

Hard wired WiFi to both cottages, with enclosed gardens which are safe for children and pets. Easy accessibilty.

The luxury barn conversions can accommodate 2-4 people in comfort. Each barn conversion is single storey with wheelchair access. Light airy and cosy, with loveley views over farmland to the Yorkshire Wolds. Good for walking, cycling and touring.

Each cottage has electric hob oven (defroster) microwave, tall fridge freezer, dishwasher, automatic washer/tumble drier, Iron, Ironing board, colour LCD TV, radio, toaster, kettle, hair dryer. Also included good collection of books, games (chess, cards, puzzles), tourist information leaflets.
