The farmhouse enjoys a quiet peaceful rural location, with fantastic sunsets & starry nights with little or no light pollution. Enjoy the large garden listening to skylarks & watching local wildlife while you enjoy the chance to eat and drink outside on warm summer evenings. Observe the local wildlife on the river Derwent, 'Wheldrake Ings' and 'Skipwith Common' (Engilsh Nature SSI) .The property is well maintained and is close to the village of Thorganby which enjoys a pub with a good reputation for food.

A number of public footpaths pass over fields nearby, which offer walkers a chance to stretch their legs away from traffic. The farmhouse has extensive gardens with plenty of space for children to play safely. The property is convenient for York University and DEFRA.

The farmhouse is not far from the Yorkshire Wolds, Yorkshire Moors and Yorkshire Coast. Other nearby attractions being Harrogate, RHS - Harlow Carr Gardens, Saltaire Village, Castle Howard, Beningbrough Hall, Harewood House, many Historic Abbeys, and not forgetting the York National Railway Museum.
